The EUTERPE Podcast Library featured by the European Commission

We are delighted to share that the EUTERPE Podcast Library has been selected by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) for its feature "Science on the go: 10 EU-funded podcasts from AI to climate change," published on 1 September 2026.

The REA, the European Commission agency that manages a large share of the EU's research and innovation funding, put together the selection to show how EU-funded researchers are bringing their work to wider audiences. EUTERPE appears alongside nine other projects working on topics as diverse as artificial intelligence, citizen science, climate disinformation, food fraud, freshwater restoration and migration. We are the only project on the list representing literature and gender studies, and we are proud to see the humanities standing side-by-side with the sciences in a feature like this.

In its entry on our project, the REA writes that EUTERPE "studies how women's writing across Europe moves between languages, borders and cultures, to create open resources and better understand what it means to be European today," and highlights the podcast's mix of interviews with our doctoral researchers, conversations with writers, and poetry readings.

What's next?

This recognition comes at a fitting moment. On 23–25 September 2026, EUTERPE will hold its closing conference, Thinking Transnationally: European Literatures and Gender, at CEU in Vienna, where the consortium will present the results of the project, including the research of our doctoral candidates, the podcast, and the forthcoming two-volume Handbook of Transnational Women's Literature (CEU Press). Recordings from the conference, including the literary readings with Anthony Capildeo, Julia Cimafiejeva and Aslı Erdoğan, will be added to the Podcast Library in the coming months.
